David RosenkerAs Owner and Facilitator, David Rosenker has been working with adolescents and adults since 1976. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Addictions Program, and Alvernia University with a B.A. in Business Administration.

David began his career in counseling in adolescent evaluation units in Minnesota. He has designed and directed addiction programs for adolescents.  In 1988 he facilitated the opening of a Anthony Louis Center 60 bed adolescent program in the Pocono Mountain area of Pennsylvania.  David then joined nationally renowned Caron Treatment Centers in 1990, working there for almost 20 years. During his tenure, David was responsible for many areas such as the clinical management of adult and adolescent services, out patient services, admissions, and business development.

Most recently he is associated with Foundations Recovery Network providing part time business development services in Toronto, Canada. David is also EAGALA certified as a Mental Health and Equine Specialist.

David has also been a trainer and facilitator for over 25 years to local, regional and national school districts and businesses offering educational sessions, team retreats, and supervision consultation.

David has appeared and been quoted in numerous news and televisions outlets such as The Today Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, USA Today, Web MD etc.

He continues to speak at local, regional and international conferences on addictions and mental health on adolescent and young adult addiction, parenting, executive addiction and the generational effects on drug/alcohol use today.

Graduate of Kutztown State College with a BA in Communications, Speech and Theater. Graduate of Gratz College with a Masters in Education

37 years in Education : Baltimore City School District and Wilson School District

24 years on the Student Assistance Team assisting troubled students

Has enjoyed the gift of horses since the age of two.

Included in my partnership with horses : working with thoroughbreds at various racetracks, giving riding lessons, participating in horse shows,breaking and training     young horses, trail riding in many areas of the United States. Stef is EAGALA Certified level 2.


Brad Egolf-

Brad grew up on a horse farm outside of Reading, PA. and has been around horses his entire life. After attending the University of Wisconsin/River Falls majoring in Animal Science with an emphasis on horses, he spent the next several years working in the horse industry.

In recovery for over 30 years and having worked as an interventionist and recovery coach, Brad applies his horse background and knowledge of addiction/recovery to the Equine Therapy.

His love of horses and his heart to help people work through the obstacles in their lives are what makes

Brad a valuable piece of this process. “When a horse pays attention to the participant they get the sense of trust and love,  thus helping people get back in the saddle of life”. Brad is also in process of EAGALA certification.



Mary Whitmoyer- Mary is the most recent addition to Herd By A Horse. Mary is a recent graduate of Franklin and Marshall College. Mary interned with us for a number of months. She was such a great match she became a part of the staff this fall 17.
